Attic Rahman -

Your choice for a better Tottenham!

Attic is a solicitor and a small business owner bringing with him a wealth of experience from

outside politics to public life. A family man, who lives in East London and believes in standing

with the local community. Whether its supporting independent businesses, building more

affordable homes for local families or a fair deal for motorists against LTNs.

WHAT I WANT TO DELIVER FOR TOTTENHAM:

CHAMPION OUR COMMUNITY I will be accessible, approachable and hardworking. I

will regularly organise local events to help residents such as debt advice workshops, over-

55’s events & Crime Forums.

Create opportunities through trade fairs and by levelling up skills of the local workforce.

Bring forward measures to crack down on fly-tipping, because it is important to ensure our local

high streets are clean and welcoming.

TACKLING CRIME Thanks to the Conservative commitment to 20,000 more police, the Met

now have more uniformed officers than at any time in their history. I will work with local police to

ensure police levels and policing standards work for Tottenham through better community

engagement (including the use of British Sign Language), police training in self-defence and,

supporting intelligence led stop and search.

SMALL BUSINESSES As a small business owner, I have first-hand experience of the

challenges facing our high streets. I support reducing business rates for small business as

well as reducing red tape to make sure our town centres thrive.

FIGHTING AGAINST ULEZ AND LTNS

I fought against the Mayor’s expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone. I will continue to

campaign to try get the scheme cancelled because of the impact of these new driving charges on

residents and businesses in Tottenham.

I am also opposing other anti-car measures such & Low Traffic Neighbourhoods' that create

dangerous gridlocks on our roads.

THE RIGHT HOMES, IN THE RIGHT PLACES

I want everyone to be able to afford a home and build their lives here. I know we all agree that

Tottenham needs more affordable homes - to rent or buy. However, these new homes must be

at the right price in the right place, and any new development must come with the extra

infrastructure needed to support it. And in a way that uses Brownfield land first through planning

reforms, building more homes faster and more safely.

Thank you.

If I am lucky enough to be selected, I will build a robust and effective campaign around these

local priorities for a safer, greener, and prosperous Tottenham.
